Join Us in Creating a World of Dignity and Confidence for Every Menstruator.
At Wezesha Binti Foundation, we are dedicated to ending period poverty and empowering menstruators in underserved communities through sustainable menstrual health products, comprehensive education, and economic empowerment. Join us in creating a world where every menstruator can manage their health with dignity and confidence.
Our Pillars
Menstrual Health Management
Providing quality and affordable menstrual health products to ensure menstruators have the resources they need to manage their periods with dignity and confidence.
Education
Delivering comprehensive menstrual and sexual reproductive health education to empower menstruators with knowledge, break down stigma, and promote informed health practices.
Economic Empowerment
Empowering economically vulnerable women by teaching them transferable skills, enabling them to create sustainable menstrual products, and fostering economic stability within their communities.
Growth with Community
Launch: A New Beginning
In August 2018, Wezesha Binti Foundation was officially launched with our first community event. We held a fireside chat with students from Busia County, discussing the challenges menstruators face. The event also featured our inaugural fundraising drive, bringing together guests to support our mission.
One Binti Box At a Time
Despite the global pandemic, Wezesha Binti demonstrated the power of collective action. Through generous donations and crowdfunding, we executed our largest donation drive yet, distributing Binti Boxes to menstruators in need. This effort showcased the community's resilience and dedication to supporting those facing menstrual health challenges.
Empowerment Through Manufacturing
In 2021, we expanded our impact by launching two manufacturing plants in Busia County, specifically in Bunyala and Nambale sub-counties. These plants enabled us to support economically vulnerable women by teaching them sewing skills to produce menstrual products. This initiative not only provided essential products but also promoted economic stability for the women involved.
Binti Tales: An Affirmation Deck
In 2024, we introduced Binti Tales: An Affirmation Deck, designed to support menstruators throughout their menstrual cycle. This deck offers a combination of stories, affirmations, conversation prompts, questions for gynecologists, and educational insights, aimed at empowering and guiding menstruators through every stage of their journey.
